This command is needed only if Engineering Calculations are being used where the default loss values can be edited from as-built information.

The command processes all splices in the network or a fenced area, and assigns the defined losses of the selected splice type. The splice types, with losses, are defined in Splice setup. If processing a fenced area, place the fence before executing this command.

Create Splice Pairs

1. From the OpenComms Fiber Tab, click the Create Splice Pairs icon from the Review/Validate section.

   

2. The Create Splice Pairs dialog box opens.

   

3. Select the splice type that will be used during this process.
4. Click OK.
5. A status window displays indicating the progress.
